First Thoughts

So like I haven't started this book yet because I'm me and I don't read, but I have an overwhelming first impression that makes me question many a YA novel's individuality nowadays. WHY IN THE HELL IS EVERYONE SO DEPRESSED? always...like it's crazy.
I'm not going to want to read a book that reminds me that life is depressing. It's sad because the story might be really really good but if the main character is sad all the time and hates on his own success or accomplishments, it makes readers feel like they don't have to strive to succeed because no improvements on their emotional state will come of it. That's like a lie because YA novels are supposed to be relatable to teens but if they are just bringing them down and making them feel like accomplishments don't matter when in reality they make you feel amazing and like you have a purpose, even at your saddest times.

just my preliminary judgy judgment.

BOOK !!!!!!!

Yo Sam I'm not going to spoil this book for you but I like it a lot and the jokes are pretty funny. Although the plot is not that relatable to me, I'm still intrigued because the main characters are teenagers. Wow. Good going YA authors. That is all for right now. XOXO GOSSIP GIRL.
